Château des 3 Reines (Castle of the 3 queens)

This day’s visit takes you to Montceaux-lès-Meaux, a small village with the “village de caractère” label (village of character), located 10km from Meaux, to discover the remains of a former royal castle.

Guided tour of the remains of the castle at Montceaux-lès-Meaux. This château was a centre of power during the Renaissance. It belonged to Queen Catherine de’ Medici, then to Gabrielle d’Estrées, favourite of King Henry IV of France, and finally to Marie de’ Medici. Discover its romantic ruins, which evoke the past splendour of this royal site like a fading echo.
