How to get to Meaux and the Meaux Marne Ourcq region
Would you like to spend a weekend close to Paris? Looking to recharge your batteries without driving too far?
Located between the loops of the Marne and the Ourcq canal, Meaux and the surrounding area is an ideal destination for getting away from it all, less than 50km from the capital.
Just 25 minutes from Paris-Est station by train, or less than an hour by car, Meaux Marne Ourcq has everything you need to spend some quality time with your family, friends or loved ones.
By car
Meaux and the surrounding area are less than an hour’s drive from Paris! It’s the ideal place to spend a weekend close to Paris, where you’ll find peace and quiet and a change of scenery!
Via the A4 motorway:
- You can get to Meaux from Paris on the A4 motorway towards Metz-Nancy. This will take you south out of Paris. After 50km on the motorway, leave the A4 and take the A140 towards Nanteuil-Meaux and then Meaux-Centre. Meaux will welcome you with an impressive view of its cathedral.
- You can get to Meaux from Reims on the A4 motorway towards Paris. After 97km on the motorway, leave the A4 and take the A140 towards Meaux-Centre. When you arrive in Meaux, take in the panoramic view of the Saint-Étienne cathedral.
Via the A1 and A104:
- You can also take the A1 towards Lille-Charles de Gaulle airport if you want to leave Paris from the north. Leave the A1 and take the A104 towards Soissons-Marne la Vallée, then take exit 6b towards Meaux. Once on the N3, exit towards Meaux-Centre.
By train
Are you coming to the region by train? It couldn’t be easier!
There are at least 5 stations from which you can get to Meaux Marne Ourcq from Paris-Est station (Transilien line P):
- Meaux (towards Château-Thierry): 25 min
- Meaux (towards Meaux): 40 min
- Trilport (towards Château-Thierry): 30 minIsles – Armentières – Congis (From Meaux, towards La Ferté Milon): 40 min
- Lizy-sur-Ourcq (From Meaux, towards La Ferté Milon): 45 min
- Crouy-sur-Ourcq (From Meaux, towards La Ferté Milon): 50 min
Take the Transilien Line P to visit Meaux from Château-Thierry! Get off at the last stop before Paris Gare de l’Est to visit Meaux.
Or would you prefer to take the RER A?
- Get off at Marne-la-Vallée Chessy station
- At the bus station, take bus 19, which will drop you at Meaux station in 30 minutes.
By bus
In Seine-et-Marne, you can take advantage of the Seine-et-Marne Express lines to get to Meaux!
This network provides links between the main hubs in Seine-et-Marne and complements the railway network. Three lines serve Meaux:
- Line 18: Melun – Meaux
- Line 02: Melun – Meaux
- Line 20: Roissy CDG – Meaux
- Line 69: Meaux – Serris Val d’Europe
From Charles de Gaulle airport
From the “Airport CDG 1” stop (RER B), take the Seine-et-Marne Express line 20 to Meaux station.
