Nestled between the Clignon valley, the Ourcq valley and the heights of Orxois, Crouy-sur-Ourcq enjoys a particularly green environment.
Swamp forest are a natural setting to the common heritage (Ourcq Canal, Saint-Cyr-and-Sainte-Julitte church, Keep of Houssoy), and the marsh of Negando, with an area of 84 hectares. In the middle of peatlands and poplar plantations of the Ourcq Valley, you are sure to see amphibians, dragonflies, butterflies, and many waterfowl. Bogs are wetlands resulting from accumulation of plant for hundreds of years.
