The Maison du Brie de Meaux, located right in the heart of the city, takes visitors on a scenographic tour of the history and production of Brie de Meaux PDO.
For those with a creative spirit and a sweet tooth, we offer culinary workshops on the second Saturday of every month, and practical and experimental workshops every Wednesday during the school holidays – something to delight young and old alike.

Visit Europe’s largest museum on the history of the Great War
An immersive journey through time to understand the history of the First World War and the modern world.
Accessible to all ages, the museum has a special area for children, where they can dress up in a soldier’s uniform or complete an activity booklet. Young and old alike can discover the museum’s various themed rooms in a fun and educational way, using touch screens or objects to touch and feel.

Guided tour of the underground chambers of the former bishops’ palace of Meaux
A visit to the underground chambers of the former bishops’ palace will give you an insight into the contemporary history of these cellars, which were used for passive defence purposes during the Second World War, providing an air-raid shelter for the inhabitants.
The history of these cellars also includes traces of the original 12th-century dungeon, the prison where one of the Coligny brothers was probably held in the 16th century, and the bishops’ wine cellar.

Gourmet tour of the Moret goat farm

Meet the 200 goats at Ferme de la Vallière, producing milk from March to December, guided and accompanied by owners Bertin, Mathilde and Clément.
At the end of the tour, sample their quality farmhouse cheeses!

A remarkable sound and light show: The Meaux Historical Show “Folles Époques!”

From the City of Meldes to the Roaring Twenties, this sound and light shows takes you on an epic journey through 2,000 years of French and Meaux history. At the foot of the cathedral, as night falls, come and discover “Folles Epoques!”, a creation made possible by 500 volunteers!
