Departing from Crécy-la-Chapelle, you’ll leave the Grand Morin River snaking through the “Valley of Painters” as you pedal towards La Ferté-sous-Jouarre, gateway to the Île-de-France region and “Millstone Capital of the World”. This section of the “Brie by bike” loop will lead you along country lanes and tractor tracks to the heart of the great Brie plain, dotted with hamlets and small market towns – and even a few oil drills!
